As you may have seen in some earlier images still waters, calm waters and reflected light is a favourite option of mine, however the wilder side of the weather also has a lot to say.

Between Island Bay and Houghton Bay several small rocky beaches are hidden down from the road and on these varying plants cling amongst the rocks, pebbles and salty sand and in some cases thrive.

These three Toi Toi fronds thrummed in the breeze and the wavefroms in the background demonstrate the elemental force of nature as the Southerly winds push further up the country.
